1. Costa Verde (Green Shore)
In Arbus it is possible to admire two marvelous zones: the dunes of Piscinas and the dunes of Pistis-Torre dei Corsari: here nature has kept its desert appearance. These "hills", some of them more than 30 meters high, were originated by gusts of mistral wind, which pushed the sand.

8. Porto Pino (Pino Harbor)
The great beach of Porto Pino takes its name from the presence of a natural pine-wood. In this coastal tract there are also other small beaches with a transparent sea such as Portu Pineddu and Cala Baracca.

Very white sand, crystalline sea, small beaches, lined up dunes, a rocky shore and little islets: all this is Capo Teulada, where the handicraft is very interesting, too.

Sea, sand, nature, calm. Big dunes covered with juniper and Mediterranean bush, Spanish towers located on promontories and islets, where rabbits and goats live. Here are produced the famous figs, just called "figs of Chia".

From Cagliari, going along Diaz and then Poetto boulevard, you reach the very long coast- line of Poetto. The beach is surmounted by the suggestive promontory of "Sella del Diavolo". Services are numerous: bars, parking area, etc.

2. Is Arenas Beach
Is Arenas beach stretch as far as six kilometer from the coast-line of Oristanos. As its name suggests, (arenas = sands), it is marked by the presence of a dune expanse, the largest one in Sardinia.
Unfortunaly, this little "desert", unique in Europe it was reafforested since 1950 with some tree (above all pines and acacias).

Beaches are very nice, their water are extraordinary transparent. They stretch towards the eastern side: Cala Saline, Cala del Nuraghe, Cala del Pontile, Cala dei Pastori, Cala Valdaro. During a walk along the coast-line, it’s possible discover many other beautiful places. The sea is particularlytransparent because of the sand, made up of white quartzy granules.

1. La Pelosa Beach
This beach is without doubt the most fascinating one in Sassari and one of most fascinating in Sardinia. The white sandy shore, made up of very thin and almost impalpable sand is in contrast with the dark color of the surrounding rocks which are peculiar to the entire peninsula of Capo Falcone. The sea is very transparent and separate the Stintino peninsula from the Asinara islet. The southern beaches of Stintino are: the beautiful Ezzi Mannu and the Pazzona.

This name isn’t surely overrated to indicate this tract of coast–line, which is marked by red reefs, interrupted by little beaches; by the thick Mediterranean scrub which cover the inland; and by the wild appearances of this places. Some of the nicest beaches of this coast-line tract are:
Cala li Cossi, delimitated by trachytic rocks and Cala Tinnari, made up of rounded little pebbles. It is surrounded by big rocks, which have strange shapes.

Marmorata beach is very large and deep, its sand is thin and sea has green and turquoise hues. The view is enchanting: it’s possible to see la Marmorata Islands", where an old roman cave is; Other nice beaches are: Cala Sambuco and La Balcaccia (this one can be reach only on foot sthrough a private road or by boat).

The nicest beach of Costa smeralda is probably Portu di Li Coggi, also known as Prince’s beach: the sandy depths, stretched for many kilometers away, gives waters marvelous colors and hues.
17. Costa Smeralda: Spiaggia Liscia Ruia
The southern tract of Costa Smeralda is made up of the bay of Cala di Volpe, five nice beaches of Capriccioli-La Celvia and of little beaches of Elephant. Petra Niedda beach, and the three little beaches of Cala Petra Bianca. But the nicest beach is Liscia Ruia, the widest one of Costa Smeralda and one of the nicest in Sardinia. It is characterized by a very thin light pink sandy arc, 500 meters long.
18. Costa Smeralda: Spiaggia Petra Ruia
Petra Ruia beach is marked by a reddish color of the sand: it’s due to the deposit of small particles which come from coastal granite or from shells.
19. Costa Smeralda: Cala Razza di Giunco
In this coastal tract there are sixteen beaches along less than five kilometers of shore. The last five beaches, which are located in the "Cala Razza di Giunco" are enough different among them. As they can’t be reached by land and are quite far from the main landing-places, they aren’t crowded. The nicest one are Cala Suaredda and Rena Bianca, which belongs to Olbia.
20. Porto Rotondo, Golfo Aranci e Capo Ceraso
The nicest beaches are located in the north, where the Mediterranean scrub completely covers the promontory. They are: Cala Tronfino, Cala sa Figu and Sos Passizzeddos. Even if the southern coast-line is rockier, there are some interesting beach, such as Porto Legnaiolo beach (very small) and Sas Enas Appara and del Dottore.

The western coastline of Peninsula of Stintino kept fro many tracts a wild appearance. In fact it can be reached only in the south towards "Cala Coscia di Donna". The southern side (by island of Porri) is more interesting above all for the hills completely covered with three and aromatic plants.

26. Capo Caccia
Porto Conte is a wide natural harbour, six kilometers long and two kilometers wide, closed by Punta giglio and the rocks of Capo caccia. This was one of the first places discovered by international tourism. Among the nice beaches we mention: Mugoni, the Riserva Naturale Arca di Noè, the Porto di Tramariglio, Cala della Calcina and Caletta della Dragonara, in this place live many animals griffins, mouflons, little horses of Giara, partridges and pigeons.

The nicest beach is "spiaggia della Speranza"; in the south you can admire pebbly beaches, which are dominated by colorful rocks: pink, grey, light blue and green.
1. Capo Coda Cavallo
The South coast of Olbia shows the most marvelous and fascinating beaches in San Teodoro, in the province of Nuoro.
This resort grows more and more thanks to the beautiful sandy shore, which is 35 Km long.
Among the northern take breathing beaches we mention: Cala Purgatorio, Cala Suaraccia (also called Beach of Butterflies) and the little Cala Lastra Ruia, (also called Beach of the Water).
But the most amazing beach is Cala Coda Cavallo, marked by a crystalline, transparent sea and by the view of Proratora, Molara and Tavolara islands.
2. Beaches of Brandinchi
Brandichini bay is marked by the presence of two beautiful beaches, separated by the little promontory of Capicciuolo. In the South there is Brandichini bay also called beaches of Lu Impostu, in the North cala Brandichini. Both of them present the same characteristics: white and very thin sand with sandy depths, which give water extraordinary colors. The dune, laying at the back are covered with a thick scrub of junipers.
3. La Cinta Beach
Right in the south of Puntaldia promontory, surrounded by the most important golf place in the province of Nuoro, there is the fascinating beach of La Cinta, the widest and most crowded of this coastal tract.
Besides the beautiful sand, the clearness of the green water sea, this beach is characterized by also an important prerogative: the beach is so wide, that you can find easily a quiet place where to lay at the sun. Inland is very interesting, too: San Teodoro’s pod links to the sea and happens the change of soft and sea water. Actually, the pod is created by the sandy beach which surrounds it. Here live many pink-flamingos.
4. Insuledda Beach
This beach is decorated with a thick bush of secular smelled junipers and furzes.
It is delimitated by a little temporary pod, where water is present from autumn to spring. Thanks to the deep green sea and the soft white sand, this is one of the most crowded beaches of this coastal tract.

Comino Beach is located in the North of Capo Comino; The sand is white and very thin, water is very crystalline. The little Ruia Islet can be easily reach from the beach, because it is few kilometers far.

In the South of Capo Camino begins the costal tract of Berchida beach, among the amazing hilly landscape of inland.
7. Osalla-Marina Beach of Orosei
The Osalla–Marina beach is about 4 km long. It was originated by the floods of river Cedrino.
The sea is very clear and there is a beautiful pine-wood to have relax in the shadow.
8. Cala Cartoe e Costa delle Grottacce
They are marked by high "falaise", but reaching the north, this shore becomes less hilly and begin the beaches Cala Osalla (in Dorgali) and Cala Cartoe. The last one is never too crowded even in summer and even if it is very easily reaching it by land.
It’s very fascinating even in spring because it is completely covered with thick tamarisks. The sand is golden and the sea is emerald. The south side of the beach is characterized by a white calcareous islet, while the north side is marked by a darker color owing to the basalt.
9. Shore of Cala Luna
Few miles south of the known resort Cala Gonone there is Cala Luna, one of the beautiful beaches of all Mediterranean Sea. The sandy shore is arc-shaped, 700 meters long; the sea has marvelous deep green hues, thanks to its pebbly depths.
The south zone is marked by a small soft water lake, surrounded by a little wood, made up of oleander tree, even six meters high. Known is also the "Bue Marino Cave", where used to live the nun seal, now disappeared from this zone.
10. Costa di Cala Sisine
This coastal tract is characterized by many calcareous falaises, interrupted by narrow gullies, covered with a thick vegetation. Calas Sisine is a beautiful beach made up of white little pebbles and sand. The sea is transparent and light blue. It is delimitated from high and woody slope of a big Gully, called Codula di Sisine. The coast of Cala Sisine is considered the highest in the Mediterranean Sea (it is 600 meters high). Here the landscape has a wild appearance.
11. Costa di Cala Mariolu
Cala Mariolu is very isolated and it can’t be reached by land (only by expert excursionists), but it’s so amazing that can be easily compared to the more crowded Cala Luna.
The water is very clear and the creamy colored pebbly depths give waters light blue hues, some of the most fascinating of the gulf.
A little promontory separates Cala Luna from from the second beach Cala Mariolu, also called Beach of the kittiwakes, because of the great deal of sea–birds which can be seen on the with sand.
12. Aguglia e Capo di M. Santu
L’Aguglia also called Goloritzè - is the last southern beach of Orosei Gulf. It consists of two pebbly sandy shores, each other few hundreds meters far. It takes its name from a sharp pinnacle, the Aguglia or Caroddi Mountain, 100 meters high from base and 143 meters above the sea level.

14. Capo Bellavista, Beaches of Orrì and Cea-Is Scoglius Arrubius
The coast of Tortolì is without doubt one of the most interesting shores in Ogliastra. Some examples are Capo Bellavista, where you can admire the famous red porphyry rocks, unique in the world; Porto Frailis, San Gemiliano, Orrì and Cea (also called beach "Is Scoglius Arrubius").
In Orrì seaside are marked by granite cliffs, grey rocks rounded by waves.
15. Beaches of Cardedu and Gairo
The coastal tract between Cardedu and Gairo consists of many interesting and particular environments: they have a wild appearance But they are quiet, because of its distance from the main and most important tourist resorts. Capo S’asta beach (also known as Cala Francese) is made up of a seaside surrounded by marvelous pink porphyry rocks.
The Coccorrocci beach is made up of a wide extent of dark porphyry pebbles, which change from pink to, grey, to greenish, and which were originated from volcanic rocks. It is the biggest pebbly beach in Sardinia.
